Farm Tours

Hop in our trailer and experience a journey of discovery … 2 hours of unforgettable fun! Meet the animals, spy the wildlife, learn about the food we produce, the environment we protect and soak up the breath-taking views to St Andrews and the sea!

Treat the family to a fun packed tour at Cuplahills Farm

"The best part of our holiday!"

Our trailer can take up to 10 people. Unless families know each other, we do our best to make each tour exclusive to one family and your party.

We take great pride in our farm and love to be able to share it with visitors.

We offer Farm Tours as a direct result of our guests asking us for more information on our farm, our animals, crops and farming techniques.

Our tours take guests on a 2-hour tour – starting and finishing at the lodges.

You travel in the comfort of a specially-converted, covered trailer … protecting all from any weather but allowing everyone to be close to nature.

The tours are seasonal, so the animals you get to see and meet will change through the year. Lambs and sheep, our goats, cattle, pigs … as well as being introduced to the wildlife around the farm.

You’ll hear some of the history of the farm covering our location and scale of operation. The tours and chat are tailored to the ages of our guests and we vary the route to try and give all the best access and views possible.

The small print …

All Tours must be booked in advance: the price per tour is from £100.00 for up to five guests. There is a maximum of 10 guests per tour. The opportunity to feed lambs depends on the time of year. Eggs, when available, can be purchased at the end of your tour. Guests are advised to wear appropriate clothing for the weather and we recommend sturdy footwear. And please be aware! You will be visiting a working farm; the availability of tours may vary depending on the season, weather and farm workload.

To Book …

You will soon be able to book online. Until then, if you are interested in booking a tour, please use this link to email Stephen who will be in touch as soon as possible. Alternatively, call 01334 870225. Thank you!

Under your own steam …

There’s so much to explore, discover and see right from the doorstep of your lodge.

If a Tour doesn’t suit, just stride out from your lodge’s front door and walk the miles of trails and paths that criss-cross our farm and surrounding countryside …

Woodlands

Our ancestor, Willie Melville wanted to leave a legacy at Cuplahills and in doing so created two community Woodlands now known as Willies Wood and Lucklaw Wood. Both are a short walk from the lodges.

A myriad of paths provide the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful walk through the fruiting damson, apple, cherry, rowan and elder trees.

Paths lead to picnic benches with their stunning view towards St Andrews, down to the ponds, past the sun-dial and through an enchanting hedge archway – then back along the farm tracks passing the stables on the way.

Pack your wellies or walking boots and get out to enjoy all that our farm has to offer.

Visit the Stables

Cuplahills livery provides an idyllic home to a number of horses of various sizes. Some of these may even be resident in the paddock by the lodges.

Take the opportunity to visit the stables and learn a little about the horses. The friendly owners are happy to let our guests get up close and enjoy some time with these gentle giants.

Just kidding!

Say hello to the goats who are in the field next to the lodges – a firm favourite, especially with our younger guests.
