We had a wonderful stay at this lodge and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
The lodge itself was perfect — comfortable, beautifully presented and in a fantastic location, with truly spectacular views. It was exactly what we were looking for and made for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

What really stood out, though, was the owner. From the moment we arrived, Stepeh was incredibly friendly, helpful and engaging, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. When we unfortunately discovered a flat tyre on our departure morning he couldn’t have been more helpful. He inflated our tyre sufficiently to be able to drive to the local tyre specialist. He rang them so they were expecting us and even put their details into google maps for us!! That level of genuine kindness and willingness to help really made a difference.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending the lodge to others. We will definitely be returning!

Very comfortable, well equipped lodge with a stunning views over the countryside. Only a few mins drive from reliable direct train service to Edinburgh and within easy access of pretty coastal villages.

Truly wonderful trip ! From start to finish it was all perfect. Stephen and everyone up the farm were lovely, always took the time to chat and involve the kids in anything they had an interest in on the farm. The lodge (Frazer) was brilliant! Spacious, clean and was perfect for what we wanted. Small details included (Towels, spare shower gel, hand soaps, bedding all kitchen appliances including some washing tablets) which is great especially on your first day/night it saves having to rush around looking for Alastair minute shop.

Although, when we did use the local shop it was literally 5 minutes down the road which was handy. I did also have to visit the local doctors for some medication and again only 5 minutes down the road and they were amazing I was there at 8am and meds issued and dispensed within the hour !

Couldn't fault anything about this trip, we were sad to leave. It was exactly what we needed and will highly recommend. If you want a rural retreat with activities a small drive then this is for you ! There is also a small park on site for kids ☺️.

Wonderful accommodation Beautiful accommodation in a wonderful spot. Lodges are very comfortable and well equipped. Very peaceful location with lovely walks nearby and close to St Andrews town. Would absolutely recommend

From Toronto to Cuplahills farm-The trip of a lifetime Our family rented three lodge for one week in July 2026 and it was a trip of a lifetime.Our grandchildren ages 5-13 spent their time on the trampoline and play park which was very well maintained .They fed the goats frequently and collected eggs three of the mornings .We also took the farm tour offered and we all learned a lot .The kids had the time of their lives.
The lodge’s themselves were spacious modern spotless and very comfortable with a spectacular view and large deck with picnic table and chairs .Each lodge had its own bbq.
Our host Stephen Melville was a very hands on host and great with the kids.
We will remember this trip to St Andrews as one of the best

Peace , tranquility and views to blow your mind ! A very peaceful fortnight - albeit helped by the fact there was only 1 other lodge occupied during our stay !
The views from Coulthard are uninterrupted- buzzards , kestrels , brown hares , rabbits , deer all available to watch !
It’s a good base for all of Fife with lots to see and do .
Not that far to Firth of Forth or Dundee either . St Andrews very close .
There is a children’s play area with a trampoline and swings etc - just be aware that the nearby fence is electric but there is a warning sign behind the trampoline .
The lodge was comfortable and well equipped . Smart TV so you can log on to your streaming apps etc . Good quality wifi .
4 lovely goats who do a wee trip out when their field being tended to . Horses in surrounding fields .
There is a wee circular walk from the lodges around the lanes and circling back via Willies woods behind the lodges .
Bins on site inc glass so you don’t have to find recycling sites.
Lovely green roofs . Whirligig washing drier behind each lodge - nice and windy so things dry quickly !
Each has a gas bbq you can use too.
Each has an enclosed veranda / deck with lazy Susan outdoor table and dining chairs . Small dogs could theoretically escape though so beware .

Great base for exploring the area with our grandchildren. We stayed here for the third year running with our two grandchildren (7,5) . We enjoy the smallness of the site with only 4 lodges. The lodges are well equipped with very comfortable beds. Our room has an en suite and there is also a family bathroom.

There is a small play area and the kids love the trampoline. Stephen is a fabulous host and the farm tour is such a treat. We have eggs this morning that the children collected last night!

Lovely comfortable lodge with a great view This was our second stay at Cuplahills and it was just as enjoyable as our first. The lodge is very comfortable and spacious and also well-equipped, and the view over the Eden estuary is breathtaking. The farm is very nature-friendly (we saw a deer, hare & lots of bird species) and has several good walking/running trails, and there is lots to do in Fife (or further afield).

Excellent Stayed for 9 nights. Visiting for a family wedding in the area. Fabulous location for visiting St Andrews and Dundee. Beautiful views. Peaceful evenings.
