Facilities
We try to provide all that you need to help make your stay in our lodges a ‘home from home’ experience.
Facilities to Enhance Your Stay
Coulthard and Pitbladdo were our first two lodges (built in 2012 and completely refurbished in 2019) and in 2017, we added Frazer and Morison based on very similar footprints.
Outside …
There’s ample parking to the side and rear of each lodge. Clad in cedar, the lodges blend into the countryside, gently softening in colour. Cosy on autumn and winter nights, the lodges are beautifully cool in the heat of summer and each benefits from a stunning raised, secure deck.
A decking table with six chairs – perfect for enjoying alfresco breakfasts or lunches – as well as a sundowner as the evening shadows grow longer across our fields. A gas BBQ is available for use.
Popular for those staying with young kids is our Playpark. They’ll enjoy hours of entertainment in the private play area which includes a sunken trampoline that lights up for fun as the sun goes down. Our playfort includes a slide, swings, climbing ramp, basket swing and a push-me-pull-you.
Wanting to hang out beach towels or wetsuits? Feel free to use the lodges’ washing line.

Inside …
Step through the door and everything is on one level. Bright, spacious living areas with floor-to-ceiling windows maximise the breath-taking views. The ‘fresh and contemporary’ design is at the same time homely … offering the opportunity to relax and unwind whilst enjoying a little piece of luxury.
All benefit from solar water heating, energy-efficient appliances and our living sedum roofs deliver unique insulation as well as being havens for wildlife in the summer. Please note we do not have specific disabled facilities, although there are large, easily accessible shower facilities. We encourage guests to call for further information regarding accessibility.

A word from our guests...

The views from Coulthard are uninterrupted- buzzards , kestrels , brown hares , rabbits , deer all available to watch !
It’s a good base for all of Fife with lots to see and do .
Not that far to Firth of Forth or Dundee either . St Andrews very close .
There is a children’s play area with a trampoline and swings etc - just be aware that the nearby fence is electric but there is a warning sign behind the trampoline .
The lodge was comfortable and well equipped . Smart TV so you can log on to your streaming apps etc . Good quality wifi .
4 lovely goats who do a wee trip out when their field being tended to . Horses in surrounding fields .
There is a wee circular walk from the lodges around the lanes and circling back via Willies woods behind the lodges .
Bins on site inc glass so you don’t have to find recycling sites.
Lovely green roofs . Whirligig washing drier behind each lodge - nice and windy so things dry quickly !
Each has a gas bbq you can use too.
Each has an enclosed veranda / deck with lazy Susan outdoor table and dining chairs . Small dogs could theoretically escape though so beware .

Spectacular views from the lodges
There is a small play area and the kids love the trampoline. Stephen is a fabulous host and the farm tour is such a treat. We have eggs this morning that the children collected last night!
Really recommend.

As mentioned in many of the reviews the location is absolutely stunning, the lodges are well kitted out and clean.
Stephen the owner is very friendly and amenable.
Everyone agreed they were a good find and wood like to return in the future.
